I was in Bern today and walked past phase 8 ( street near the hb) they had a lot dresses inside. Not sure of your style but they had more “festive” rather than business looks. On the same street were a couple other boutiques and the PKZ (I think).

I forget the street name but it’s the one where the staufacher bookstore is located.
I was looking in Phase 8 on Saturday and they do have some lovely dresses at the moment.

I suddenly found myself needing to find something nice to wear having been asked to be witnesses at a friend’s wedding next month, they seem to be following a similar timeline to EE.
I’m looking for simple and classic though, done the whole bridal thing once and I have no intention of doing it again.

Thanks everyone for the input, will most certainly take a stroll through the mentioned shops in Bern.

Registry office is booked and I now have a little over a month to get a frock. Wish me luck!

congrats EE! all the best to find something suitable, sorry i can't be of much help.

as i'm a bit of a brocki/ charity shop person -all i can think of are vintage shops or second hand ones, but not sure if you want a second hand item for the wedding

LOL!!
Usually I am too swissotter

Vintage all the way if I can help it, but since it is my 2nd time to tie the knot and I already didn't have a proper festive whatever gown on the 1st time due to being highly pregant and and his exness not wanting a fuss nor splash out....NOW it is my time.

And my darling Pirate has said, get what YOU LIKE, don't look at the price tag and I will try to do my best following his orders, but have, all the same, set for myself a budget for it which I intend to keep to!

Old habits die hard...........
