| | Where to buy big swimming goggles?
Heya
A few years ago I bought some aqua sphere vista swimming goggles at a swimming pool in Zurich, and they were great. They were also the only ones who fit over my huge nose and eye sockets/eyebrows. People were looking at me like I was scuba diving in the pool but the seal was solid.
Now a few months ago the seal broke, and I thought, well, no problem, I'll just buy the same model again. But in all those years it seems like they changed the design and build quality, and it leaks everywhere (alright alright not everywhere but enough to be a problem).
Tried several sports shops and swimming pool shops back in July but could not find any other big models, apart from the same cheaply built aqua sphere vistas.
Would any of you have any recommendations, please, where to find either a bigger selection of swimming goggles, or customizable ones?

You have lived here since 2011 and don't know the names of the main sports shops... really?
Ochsner sport
Migros Sport X
Decathlon
etc

Also Fielmann has quite expensive (60.-) swimming goggles.
Quality is terrible, don't buy this googles. I used once and give it back to Fielmann.

Just Squeeeez your eyes shut.
I've often found cheaper goggles with larger foam gaskets work better, but not for as long.

Try these as an alternative? They look a bit Joe 90 but they're not mega expensive if they do turn out to be a dud. Quite often you find a gem of a product which isn't completely overpriced. | This user would like to thank for this useful post: | |

Outdoor shop in Zurich (next to the train station, Meer 100m from platform 1) sells them. I have been there recently and actually looked at them. Shop assistants can help you choose the right size.
With dive masks, if anyone is interested: they do not have wide view masks, just the old-style design.

You can try Scuba Viva. As the name would suggest its a scuba diving shop, but they will help you with the large mask and may also have swimming googles. As far as I know shops in Wiedikon and Winterthur

Just for the record, found some good-quality fitting goggles at Transa near the train station in Zurich!

How much were these "good quality fitting goggles" that you can basically buy at any major sports store in Zurich? |

And the only ones which didn't let in any water, after visiting upwards of 10 other shops, and all the other vendors, including several swimming pool shops, giving up.
