Furry convention?

Has anyone had the chance to go to the furry convention in Switzerland? How was it

Ever since watching "Zootopia" I don´t want to know about "furry conventions" and I´m certainly not going to watch "Cats"

You mean something like that in teh YT link abopve?

Or the Fantasy in Basel

https://www.fantasybasel.ch/

My son is a member of the first, it is a 'furry' group in Bern (Fääliträff),if you watch the vid, its the red/white stripy Hyena.

As for the Fantasy, it is a Comic Con, where you could ALSO turn up in your furry suit, but mostly it is Cosplay.

I will enquire with my son, if there is a meeting in ZH as well

I'm not certain but I assume OP is referring to the Golden Leaves con in Hasliberg. If not I have no clue what he is referring to.

Yep, that is what my son is into......fur-suiting or however one could call that in English

Edit: Well, my son has NOT been yet at a golden leaves con, but has furnished me with some titbits of info of groups, which I hope will be of use to the OP

There is a monthly meeting (Stammtisch) in Zürich
In Lucerne, that fursuit group, does frequent fursuit walks
There should also be a monthly meeting in Basel and Solothurn but my son says, hasn't read from any of them in a while.
Obviuosly another group is in Bern

OP,Have you got Telegram messenger? My son said otherwise you could get in touch with him.

Not so relevant, but I’ve always wanted to open a safari themed restaurant just so I could call it “Furburgers”.

Re: Furry convention?

In general! I'm amazed!

When I first read the thread title, I saw it as "Fury Convention" (fury with one "r") and wondered whether it was some sort of anger management course, or perhaps to do with "letting it all out", like the primal scream therapies.

Oh, how I laughed at myself, realising that I'd mis-read, and when I found out that the these people are all about being happy and having gentle fun.

Roegner look at the vid I posted, this us the Bernese group my son belongs to and the film shows last year's xmas outing in Berne.

Not only have they fun wearing their fursuits, they do walks through cities main roads and let themselves be photographed for a small fee, that money is then donated to a charity.

Those suits are made to measure and my son's cost almost 2'000.- chf

It is like with many things, for some it is just fun and social belonging, for others it is a real identification with the character or even a complete lifestyle. And there is a group who love to participate in furry orgy's, there is also a whole furry hentai/porn industry behind it.

I once had a colleague who was completely into furry porn and paid hookers to wear a tail

I’m in that club too.

I thought it was a wind up post when I first read it, especially as it was a first post, and was very close to hitting the OTBC button.

Now I know what it is I still find it a very bizarre thing to do but each to their own.

The only thing I can tell you, is to check the golden leaves homepage, according to my son, it'll be updated as soon as they know where it'll take place this year.

Cheers

Re: Furry convention?

I'm not sure if this what you are looking for, but they have this annual event in Thun. It's the Pelzmarkt. You can buy furs, skins etc.
