Agents to help with swiss passport

Hello
We wanted to apply for the Swiss passport for my 3 children. However, my German is not up to the business level needed for the forms. Does anyone know of an agent who can help with the process as the children are also struggling with the formal language.
Many thanks in advance. We are based in Zurich

I can’t see you application being successful if the applicants don’t know German well enough to fill out the forms.

Re: Agents to help with swiss passport

Indeed. Part of the naturalisation process is an interview where you'll have to speak a Swiss language. If you can't do that then you're not going to get the passport.

Re: Agents to help with swiss passport

OP does not ask about naturalisation. The children may already be Swiss, and I understood that what OP needs is help to fill out their passport application forms. Is this what you meant, CK7?

Re: Agents to help with swiss passport

My children are Swiss. I'm not.
I could fill out the forms now but a few years ago I couldn't. My children were Swiss then too.

Do people here lack reading comprehension skills?

Re: Agents to help with swiss passport

Passports and citizenship are NOT the same thing.

One needs citizenship to get a passport, but one does not need to get a passport if a citizen.

My younger daughter does not have a Swiss passport (she uses her US passport for non-EU travel), but she IS a Swiss citizen.

She also does not have a Canadian passport, but is a Canadian citizen.

Papagoose - you are a bit of a serial fly-by groaner on this forum.

Not sure why you groaned me on this thread. You and she-who-is-a-moderator-on-another-forum are typically again making thoughtless assumptions.

You have no idea how old the OP's are.

My eight year old qualifies for a Swiss passport. Would you really expect an eight-year old to fill out a passport form?

Re: Agents to help with swiss passport

I assume this is an application for citizenship, not passports.... when I applied for my passport, you could change the website into various languages including English See Here!

So I assume it is for citizenship. Kids can probably speak German from school but are too young to fill out a serious application form.

Thoughtless eh? Maybe you should a little research into the OP's posting history.

From 2008

https://www.englishforum.ch/family-m...tml#post166350

From 2013

https://www.englishforum.ch/business...ml#post2030243

OP also states in their profile that they're British and have been living here for 8 years. So unless the wife is Swiss it's probably citizenship they're after. Though why children who are now 20 and 21 and who presumably were in the Swiss schools system for at least part of their school years can't speak German is a mystery.

Of course I'm making an assumption that the OP hasn't added more kids to their collection.

Let's wait for OP to come back and tell us with which part of which process he/she/the children (minor or adults) need help.

There are many on this forum who will help you fill it in. Online help of course.

OP wrote children. Reading posts helps a lot to give answers.

I know natives who are not able to fill in forms. LOL. They can be a bitch - the forms.

I don't know of any agents who help you with that, OP, but Mullhollander helps people with translations - mainly work related - he might be willing. You could PM him.

Which would be a wrong assumption given that they state ‘my 3 kids’ in the OP.
They have clearly added at least one.

And?
I have a mobile phone that gets emails too. It doesn’t mean I read them all the time. There is more to life than emails and EF.
