What to do with wooden pallete?

Hello everybody,

I've got wooden palette from bulky parcel (bike). I don't know what to do with the pallete, I think that it's not a good idea to out it with other wastes. How can I get off it? I live in Altstetten, may be somebody need palette or know special place for it?

Re: What to do with wooden pallete?

Try anibis or tutti (for free) to get rid of it.
Or use the cargo tram

People build the fanciest things with those. So yes, put it on tutti.ch, anabis.ch for free. And it's already here on EF too now.

I had a couple. The EU one the local Coop Bau+Hobby took it off my hands. The non-standard one I dismantled, cut into pieces and used it on my bbq.

I remember in the UK getting £10 for them.

Standard palettes are really sturdy and designed for multi-way use. The wood is usually dark-dirty looking, and they're fairly heavy.

The other ones ("Einwegpalette") are intended for single-use only, usually there's no bottom layer connecting the three "beams", the wood is bright. Often, you can catch splinters easily. They look like they're really easy to take apart, which is actually the case and the idea. AFAIK the wood isn't treated, use as firewood.

Re: What to do with wooden pallete?

Put it on tutti.ch

There's actually a deposit on these from some shops that use them. Sometimes, they'll even take them back and give you money.

If you can't be bothered trying to sell it, put it out on the street with a "gratis" sign on it, most lorry drivers will take it and get a 20 euro depo back on it
