If you order from the US shipping to Germany makes no sense at all as you would pay import VAT and possible duty twice.

Much better to get something like a Wattbike and for the $39 peloton subscription (if you buy their bike), you can get their $13 dollar subscription, subscribe to Zwift or similar and still save on the monthly cost.

If i wanted a bicycle to ship things to Germany, let alone a whole peloton of bicycles, I'd feel more comfortable about it if the bicycles actually had wheels. | The following 2 users would like to thank amogles for this useful post: | |

If anyone wants to sell me/donate me theirs, please...We'd like a tandem thing between here and SF (no lycra)

Getting one for your wife for Christmas? ;-) Oh, hang on, getting one for your husband for Christmas? Oh, hang on, maybe you have a wife.
In a year their life will have changed so much. (see the commercial)
I suspect if it's ordered "to Germany" it'll mean the OP will buy from the German website and all the duty (if any) and VAT will already be included in the price. However OP will need to pay Swiss VAT when bringing into Switzerland unless they smuggle it in. I doubt there would be any opportunity to get a refund on the German VAT. Apparently taking it out of the country voids the warranty.
