Thanks to wfh, my wife gets a lot of samples shipped home and consequently we have mountains of packing peanuts. Where can one get rid of these without having to put them into taxed bags?
TIA.
Depending on exactly what type they are, many shrink and collapse when wet. Just run some under water in your hand a squeeze, they can go down to 20% of their size. Otherwise try taking them to your local recycling centre, they usually charge by weight which will be very little!

Some are made of celluose and very quickly break down harmlessly when wet. However, if you destroy too much "missing matter", then you'll end up destabilising the gravitational equilibrium of the galaxy.
