| | Brass ware - nautical lamps
Anyone with an inkling of antiques/brass ware? Any pointers towards evaluation and/or experts in CH? Old functional kerosene ship lamps from Telford, Grier & Mackay, Glasgow – thanks for any feedback. Will come back with an image as soon as I've figured out how to

Not really trying to sell – entertained fond hopes that by gauging EF (ooh/aah, who cares), I’d get a general idea whether hanging on or giving them away is worth a big internal debate |

As pilatus1 suggested, have started my own homework and arrive at a very general estimation of between CHF 500 – 800/lamp. In case you retain interest, I’d certainly come back in about a week’s time after our internal discussion has hopefully been terminated.

hello, really not sure about this, it would appear that after some investigation(my brother is an antiques dealer) these can be highly priced, and equally lowly priced, it depends on exacting pedigree and heritage, you could see two identical lamps at first glance, same make, same age, same condition, one could be worth twoo hundred quid, the other 1000 quid, and the difference could be down to a different shaped handle, or interior lighting system, as i said, i dont want to under/ over pay, and what you have suggested seems near, however a company in uk will value them ,with a view to sale (you are not obliged to sell with them, they are called david duggleby, 0044 1723 507 111

We've managed to settle the issue internally and currently have no intention of selling - cheers!
