Briefly, Swiss is an adjective, Switzerland is a noun. No?

I like your long post.
And Switzerland’s airline is named after an adjective .

If we gonna get picky it's Swiss International Air Lines AG and "SWISS" is a trading name.

Re: Swiss or Switzerland?

Holland is not the same as Netherlands.

And there's also a distinction between Netherlands and The Netherlands (and the Netherlands) - confusing.

https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-18233844

And people can get touchy if you say The Ukraine instead of Ukraine:

Some Americans can get touchy when you use USA as a grammatical plural . Even when speaking German .

But in the meantime some of them think they is a personal pronoun in the singular .

And get into a terrible huff if you disagree .

Well, when the Swiss brainstorm, you'll often hear "how can we make this kuuler? Uh, I know, let's throw in some random English words."

Checking out badly translated English pages on Swiss websites is a great way to deal with bouts of procrastination.

Here's a nice example
All individual parts come together here high on the rock to form an atmospheric whole. The location, the architecture and the design are one component. But the most important element is you, our guest, with your individual wishes and needs to which we respond with personal service in an informal way. Here you should feel at ease, you should quite simply be yourself. This is the place for unforgettable moments in calmth and harmony. Welcome!

Yes. Suisse is also an adjective and not a noun.
But that's French. A more complicate animal.

Looks like you’re into procrastination and translation? Have you ever come across the German phrase “die Seele baumeln lassen”? A pet hate of mine and often used in hotel/accommodation blurb. What’s your take on “let your soul dangle”?

I'm not really into procrastination. Rather, procrastination is into me. I'm also not that much into translation due to my inability to think in more than one language at any given time. But faced with more important tasks, I'm more than willing to give translation a go.

I'd never come across "Die Seele baumeln lassen" before. It does sound rather more charming than “letting your soul dangle” though, don't you think? But I quite agree with you, in a hotel blurb it'd bring out the worst in me.

Thank you for alerting me.

Actually its name in English is Swiss International Air Lines. And yes, air lines is two words.

Ironically its headquarters are actually in France (Mulhouse).

Hahahaha, that is a great saying. Let one's soul wander, no? I see it as when one's mind goes wool-gathering. That's when procrastinating is very useful.
