I apologize for not being clearer: There was an unspoken pact among US Presidents to not diss each other while in office. Trump broke that pact to create daily scandals to feed his ego. Until now, most mods on EF have treated former mods with respect and humility. You’ve changed all that by triggering a new epoch by dishing out mod info and openly reveling in your mod status. It appears LiB has jumped on your bandwagon to brag about his status and abuse his mod powers.

I understand Belgiummom’s disgust in what’s happening but I still don’t want to leave the forum yet. Nevertheless, someday this will all probably wear me down to the point that I’ll have to admit the new editor is in name only and the Local really doesn’t care about EF or its pronounced conservative modding.

That would depend it the permaban was justified or not.
Editor Bob reversed his permaban of V, so it's been sanctioned at the highest level in the past.
I took a look & could not see anything to say he was.

Members who never insulted anybody (unlike you) and have been banned for having different views by mods who are no longer modding should come back because they bring value to the forum.

The previous mods were serial banners, and all things being equal you should have been on the list also.
As it is, everyone seems happy with the status quo today.

Yes, I am sure 'everyone' is ecstatic with EF's resurgence of nutty right-wing drivel and previously banned members. Some of the mods must agree to considering they continually support and thank said previously banned and right-wing nutty members. One big happy and dysfunctional online family!

EF is much more balanced than before, it's a good thing.

As I just popped in 3-4times, what I can say is how it was so sectarian, cult-like atmosphere and the topics were all just one-way road.. if you challenge someone's opinion with 2-3questions "oh trolling", "rudeness" "anti-social" tags coming in and you either leave or they kick you out

I suppose this just reflects life itself but only specific aspects .. You've got those few mods and the group and just like in a church everyone should sing more or less the same song, talk about things in a same direction (trumtrumptrump evil evil, masks masks masks...) and anyone who's a bit out of the lane is seen as an intruder, under demonic possession, not one of us, therefore - get him/her out of here.

This is why now so many of those singing members of that cult are bitter and they want their peaceful nice lovely time back again.

The question is why is that? what makes people want to be in a somewhat closed circle...unique thoughts, censorship, no jokes, reporting the r-word the s-word (many other words as well) which again it's that sectarian way of thinking.
