| | Where to buy blue iris (a kind of flower) in Zurich?
Dear EFers,
I had a trouble finding a florist or shop that sells a specific type of flowers in Zurich. Browsing online, I found that they just sell a bouquet and you cannot choose a specific type of flowers.
Specifically, I would like to buy blue iris. The only shop I found online is Tom Flowers ( https://www.tomflowers.ch/products/iris-blau) but they only sell in 50+ pieces, which is too many. I saw it once in Migros also, but never saw it again afterwards, so I am not sure where to find it.
Perhaps I am looking at wrong places, so I would really appreciate if anyone could kindly point me to the right place
Thank you very much!

Online you will only find ready to order bouquet. But walk into any flower shop and you can pick and chose, and say what you want. If they have it. If not, they can order it from Holland.
If you do not like to visit a shop you can also call them.

I don't think this place sells iris, but in June it is a delight: The Belvoir Park in Zurich. https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/ted/de/...lvoirpark.html | This user would like to thank doropfiz for this useful post: | |

| | | | | You're not looking in the wrong place but the wrong season (as others have written).

Blue iris are currently sold in batches of 300 for less than €0.30 per piece by Dutch flower exporters.

Buying flowers out of season in the Netherlands either means they have been force-grown in heated greenhouses or they have been transported there from warmer countries by airplane and then distributed on.
And it's not as if you can even eat flowers like strawberries sold in winter!

At least (most) Swiss seem to understand what "seasonal produce" is more than many countries - especially the U.K.
