Growing cannabis

Hello All,

Recently moved to Lugano and was very displeased to learn that the cannabis shops have all been closed. Does anyone know a site that has the most up-to-date information regarding cannabis in CH? Also where can one find seeds to possibly grow her own supply?

Ciao!

Re: Growing cannabis

For what it's worth, I purchased 3 x 10 seeds (!) from Valchanvre over the internet in 2005. A year later I was summoned for interrogation by the Brigade des Stupéfients of the Valais (where Valchanvre was located) at the Blecherette Vaud police headquarters (since it's my canton of residence).

They asked a series of hysterically obtuse questions to which I replied with Swiss precision, pointing out at the end of a surreal Gardener's Question Time that the wondrous weed helped me in my battle with cancer and eases the chronic pain I suffer.

A couple of months later I received a fine of about 250chf...it could have been worse, so beware.

A very good friend of mine grew some on the understanding it was OK / tolerated to grow it and possess it but not to sell. 'Don't ask - don't tell' is the motto, I sense

Re: Growing cannabis

A farmer neighbour has put in a whole field of it legally. His customer is a lawyer in Zurich. The location of the field is secret.

This used to be the case. Now it is only legal if your plants have below a certain THC level - which is ridiculous...

Anyway, I will ask a friend of a friends mother in law for more details....

Re: Growing cannabis

Being Dutch I really don't understand what the big deal is with the secrecy and outlawing of grass. How many people in the news have you heard of dying from Marijuana consumption? Now how many from alcohol consumption? Alcohol is legal from 16 years of age, Marijuana is not (really) legal regardless of age in CH. Just because the law says marijuana consumption is (sorta) illegal doesn't mean that the law is right. It is even legal to brew your own beer, so why not grow your own grass? The law was probably passed by people who never smoked a blunt in their lives and think marijuana is bad because they're told it's bad.... blind leading the blind.

I'm not going to disagree with most of that, but, Switzerand probably isn't the best place in the world to mess around with rules you don't like.

Re: Growing cannabis

I've purchased seeds from drchronic.com several times. The first time was an outdoor sativa hybrid early girl crossed with skunk #1. Second time it was 10 dutch passion blueberry seeds arrived in my p.o. box 3 weeks later with 10 additional free seeds of a different strain (biggie smalls iirc). They came packaged inside of a cd case shipped from UK. This is the route I'd go if you can't find seeds to buy from someone in person.

Good luck

p.s. overgrow.com wru?!
