Re: Recyclying container for cardboard at Kloten

Welcome to Switzerland

Getting rid of cardboard can be a problem and the system for doing so may vary from Gemeinde to Gemeinde. Your landlord should be able to tell you what system is in place in your area. The most common system is that you have to collect the cardboard, tie it up with string and then wait for collection day when you may leave it on the path near your home for collection. Other kantons have other systems, I'm told that some do have containers, just like the German system.

Hi, there are special days when you can put your cardboard outside and it will be picked up. You just need to tie everything together. Here's the calender for the days they come and pick up the cardboard http://www.kloten.ch/dl.php/de/4767c...ender_2008.pdf(the first saturday every month)

Or take it back to Ikea. They have large cages for that very purpose.

The recycling centre in Kloten is in Römerweg and is open every afternoon from 15.00- 18.00 and on saturdays from 09.00 - 12.00. It's drive-in and sometimes very busy.

Re: Recyclying container for cardboard at Kloten

Walk in, drive in, jump in, hop in, roll in, fall in, everything is possible. if you have anything which can't be placed into a designated container you have to put it on the scales and pay for its elimination.
