Christmas Decorations

Hi all,

I know it's a little early but....I was just wondering if anyone knew of any special Christmas Decoration factories/outlets either in Switzerland or in Germany?

My mother-in-law (to be!) recommended The Dorotheenhuette in Germany which has a Christmas Village attached to its glass blowing factory. So along with the Christmas decorations I will certainly check out the hand blown glass it has to offer!

So could anyone recommend any others? (other than the usual suspects such as department stores and Coop etc)

Thanks

Kadie

I agree, I bought beautiful glass ones from Globus and built up a collection over a few years - they're not cheap. Now, though, they are wrapped up safe in my attic and won't see a xmas for a few years yet as I'm not allowing little hands near them.. all soft child-friendly tree decorations instead. Isn't there a glass maker down near Wädenswil that does special glass works I'll do a search and get back to you or maybe someone else knows more..

Re: Christmas Decorations - German side of CH

I just saw a link for Schilliger www.schilliger.com in another thread about Christmas Decorations in Geneva.

This store looks incredible! don't suppose anyone knows of somewhere similar in the German speaking part of Switzerland?!
