CHEAPER Day Card for Rail

I figured out something in Basel (which might be in all Kantons)

If you go to the City Info downtown you can get a Day Card for the Rail for only 35CHF. They buy 5 General Abonnoments a year and sell Day Cards (5 per day first come first serve). You can buy your tickets for any day in advance too. Bring your residents permit with you incase they ask.

At the SBB they charge 56CHF for a Day Card.

26CHF savings.

Enjoy!

Re: CHEAPER Day Card for Rail

Where exactly is this in the city(Basel Tourismus office at Barfusserplatz or the Stadtladen at Matrktplatz)? Is it called a Tageskarte?

Re: CHEAPER Day Card for Rail

To check which kantons have it, type tageskarte gemeinde in google and one of the first sites has a look up function.

I think Bern does not have it for example but many others do. You can order online there as well. No, Bern does have them but they are not listed on the site. Search www.villastucki.ch or ask the libraries, some should have them.

At the Marketplatz (Stadtladen Office). You can ask for a Day Card for the SBB in English. (it is called a Tageskarte yes in German but the Office speaks English).
