Well, I was just cleaning out my email account and came accross some poetry written just for my by an old boyfriend.. he wrote a LOT more than I am willing to share today, but if you have some special poetry someone wrote, just for you, why not share it with us. It should be something special just written by you or for you... both are sure to give us that long lost feeling of what may have been....

This is what I got after I ended the relationship.....

I am a compass that has no needle
A waterfall without water
I am a cloudless night with no stars
If you are not ! with me.

I am a sun that gives no light
A fir e without warmth
I am a big book without any words
If I'm not by your side.

I am a boat without a sail
An earth without goodness
I am all alone not able to love
If I cannot love you.

I am a rainbow that has no colour
A tornado without force
I am a sleeping bear that will never wake
I you decide you don't want me.

I'm not surprised you didn't get back with him after reading that mush.

Aaahh Richdod, where is your sense of romance... if you think that was mushy, I may also share something of what he wrote during our short time together.. man I would put it into the section "erotic poetry" no mush there..... but not today.. let's see what others come up with have you ever written something really romantic to a girl??

Hehe, nope. I'm not saying I wouldn't, but i've never met anyone that drove me to write any, and to be honest i'm a different kind of romantic anyway.

I wrote a song for my ex once, that you could sing to "Que Sera Sera"

I can not find it, but it was something like this:

When i was just a little boy,
I asked my mother, who will it be ?
Will she be pretty, wil she be nice ?
she whispered Nathalie

Que sera sera,
Together, the world us see,
The future is ours to be
Que sera sera
together we will be

I even remembered she wanted two sugars in it. No pleasing some people...

Sometimes I wish I'd never encouraged her to take that creative writing course...

I tried to look it up, but it seems like he has taken that song off his web after he got married to the girl he meet after me. How strange is that?
There might be a slim change though that I saved it on a disc somewhere, I will see if I can find it.
Well, the song was named "Scars" and was about how I could get inside of him to see everything about him, even his old scars...

Well, let me start with Darren Meakin at the playgroup. He took the green crayon when I needed it to draw some grass, and then the session was finished, and everybody laughed because my grass was purple and it was because that was the only colour there was left and I hated him from that day onward and he hated me so he's in my 'not my friends any more' book.

And then there's... hang on, phone's ringing. I'll list the rest of them later...

Here's a slightly nicer one I received from an admirer just this evening:

Oh Dougal, you're a charming man,
As handsome as Adonis.

(Although they're slightly wonky),

DB, with so many poems written for you, I am not surprised that you kept them.

It must be a very big book.
