[Geneva Area] EF Eid Party {Plans for}

Hi

Following up on some of the earlier posts on the topic.

I was thinking to organize one such event in Geneva (around Versoix) this year (** since I hate to go to parties organized by "official" organizations and like a more personal/friendly/open event).

If there is enough interest, we could do an EF Eid Party open to all members (no bar on religion or nationality etc).

There might be a small contribution needed e.g. in order to cover for hall booking and drinks (non alcoholic obviously).

PM me if you are interested, and we could discuss further.

The idea would be to do a one-dish style gathering and benefit from diversity of the food that the members could bring ( fondue ?? - why not ).

thanks

Good idea, nice you want to open it up to non-believers

May I suggest you ask people to respond on this thread, as PMing each other kinda excludes others and discourages comment.

Happy Eid, once it swings around Is anyone doing something similar in the Zurich area?

A festival is supposed to be a moment of happiness, so no worries about who believes in what. Since EF romand is pretty dormant, so may be it is time to get as many EFers together as possible.

So people, please respond to this thread in order to firm up the plans. I have so far received good number of PMs and the event seems quite likely to happen.

p.s. the intended place is located in outskirts of Geneva in middle of a nice agricultural farm (** no we will not slaughter any animals , it is for the next Eid )
