You guys do realise that the pregnancy test is quite possibly the cheapest thing you will have to buy if pregnant & having a baby. Just saying.

This doesn't seem to be something I would want to save money on. Otherwise go to your doctor and get a test done, it'll be charged to your krankenkasse. Or the Selecta machine has them too.

Cheapest is from the supermarket.

Assuming you're trying to start a family, and not in an "Oh $hit, the condom broke, am I pregnant?!" kind of emergency where you need a pregnancy test right away, the cheapest option is to import them.
You can buy them very cheaply on eBay in the UK. This seller sells just about anything you might need while trying to make a baby -- ovulation tests, pregnancy tests, basal thermometers, etc. Their shipping charges are very reasonable and they ship to Switzerland.

Just to put it into perspective, it's the cost of a pizza.

That's a lot of dough! (sorry, couldn't resist the pun!)
Seriously, though, it adds up very quickly, and there's no evidence that the expensive ones work any better than the cheap ones. With the expensive ones, you're paying for marketing and pretty plastic casings. With the cheap ones, you get a paper strip in a foil envelope.
Both will tell you equally well what you need to know.

| | Re: where to buy cheap pregnancy test? | Quote: | | | | | Hi,
I know that I can/should buy pregnancy tests in the apotheke, but it seems to be that it is just VERY expensive, the cheapest one is 19chf. If we will compare US, in US i was buying for $1 or so, and if you wish you can take the for free in churches, what about here? Maybe some churches or communities, or apotheke where I can buy/ afford to buy the pregnancy test.
thnx | | | | | Maybe on AliBaba

They sell them in Coop for ~CHF 20.-
Ordering them online sounds a bit of a faff if you want a quick answer. |

They don't have the necessary attention span

Yes! And in 9 months guessing who the father might be can be tough.
