Anyone know what type of Spider this is?

It's about an inch in size

mmmm I was wondering about that.

insects have: head + trunk + abdomen, 6 legs, with or without wings
arachnides have: head + abdomen, 8 legs
tics have: head + abdomen, 6 legs

All three are independent families belonging to the branch of arthropodes.

Def a spider. The abdomen was about half an inch. HUGE!!. Set it free after wrestling with it for 20mins.

She's beautiful! Reminds me of the Golden Orb spider, to be found mostly dangling off the verander at my sisters house.

I think Ive seen them all around Basel, I mean everywhere. Since we have no garden, not at home.
