You're in luck. Go to Aldi this coming Monday:

Re: Pressure Cooker in Zurich

Actually, the Aldi paper I picked up this week (for sale starting the 26th) has a "Schnellkochtopf-Set" (7 piece set) available.

I'm not sure the quality but so far I don't have any complaints about anything I have picked up at Aldi here in Switzerland.

Edit: I r slow typer!

Re: Pressure Cooker in Zurich

Manor, Globus, Jelmoli...

or you could go to Sibler - this place. Wow

Whenever I go there, I'm glad I have a very small kitchen and no room for all the lovely equipment and gadgets I would otherwise undoubtedly take home with me.

Re: Where can I buy a Pressure Cooker in Zurich?

You know Coop has the superpoint collection special where you pay I think 70 CHF for a pressure cooker? You need to collect two cards full of points. Ask for the leaflet at the local Coop...

I bought a "schnellkochtoph" from Migros, brand "Kuhn Rikon". Never failed us once (although we had to replace the rubber inside once after a year) and I can recommend it.

Try the indian shop called Aggarwals on langstr in zurich. The have atleast 3 models ranging from 40sfr to 100sfr.
I would personally recommend the 'Hawkins Futura' - it is the black non-stick coated one. Works great and is relatively cheaper than the one you get in coop or migros.

Re: Where can I buy a Pressure Cooker in Zurich?

The Solis manufacturer outlet in Opfikon has a 50% sale right now on certain items. High quality products.

www.solis.ch
Europa-Strasse 11, Glattbrugg
044 874 64 64

If you find a model you like at Jemoli, CO-OP or above, you may also want to check prices at

http://en.toppreise.ch

I ordered my solis panini grill this way from one of the listed shops (delivered) for 25% cheaper than in the big stores.

I have one full card that I won't use if you are interested. (And a few extra stickers at the bottom of my purse) It should get you on your way toward the pressure cooker.

Re: Where can I buy a Pressure Cooker in Zurich?

I've been a pressure cooker junkie since I was 18. It's only in the last few years that I've met anyone else who really uses them (mom in law ).

They all work the same, but if you want class you can't beat Lagostina. Super retro and cool, great design.
