kids party:running out of ideas

Hi, I need to organise my childs birthday party soon, and I am running out of ideas on what to do.
I wanted a place that kids would like(like a zoo/castle/play areas) which would also cater for birthday parties for 7 to 8 year olds...
any suggestions around vevey/montreux area?
Thanks in advance.

thanks, its a good place(Espace Junior), but there were already about 3 parties there from the same class..so may not be the ideal place for me.

Chateau Chillon has some kids activities for groups, otherwise, I like the food museum personally. My son enjoyed cooking there each time.

McDonalds; they can tear up the playland and eat all the delicious cr*p they should normally be deprived of.

Miss L-P and 22 of her homies invaded one and it became the "in" thing to do after. I loved it because I had nothing to do- they provided staff.

Re: kids party:running out of ideas

what about an ice skating party...les paccots is super and the little cafe next to the ice rink willfeed them all or just give out hot chocolate. it is best to ring ahead to reserve skates. If you cant get to les paccots then vevey has an ice rink in place du marche and there too is a coffe shop
happy bday!

No, she said the she wanted the party in French.

Cr*p means the food Sutter- it is not the best thing in the word nutritionally.

Re: kids party:running out of ideas

what about ice skating? roller skating? or if possible sometimes the best parties are at home- make your own sundaes and watch a movie?

my son loves that and especially here b/c the kids are not as used to eating ice cream with chocolate and peanut butter (watch for allergies) and candy and strawberries and bananas and everything that you never get to eat all together. 7/8 year old love that stuff and the more stuff to load on the ice cream the better.

have fun!

Re: kids party:running out of ideas

There is a small zoo out in Servion. It has a playground and an indoor restaurant. I'm not sure if they do parties, give them a call. It is a fun place to take the kids. Here is the link: http://www.zoo-servion.ch/index.php?...page&Itemid=80

Right next door to the zoo is a Tropiquarium which I haven't been to but could also be an idea. http://www.tropiquarium.ch/presentation-uk.htm

Both places are open all year.

Good luck.

We can help entertain at home (or at a venue): have a look at our party services: www.4-events.ch

Re: kids party:running out of ideas

Over in the German speaking part...

We researched an AIRPORT BIRTHDAY PARTY for our 6 to be 7 year old at the start of February:

http://www.flughafen-zuerich.ch/desk...spx/tabid-212/

But not this year.
And at 24 CHF, not the cheapest if you've got the full complete of 15 guests.

TRAMPOLINO - Dietikon

http://www.trampolino.info/

Great, but bring ear-plugs.
Always seems like there's 15000 kids there on a Saturday afternoon all having their own birthday parties. The noise levels are unbelievable, but maybe I'm turning into a Grumpy Old Man.

Finally, I might get slack for this, but here goes:

MACDONALDS

Have now been to several kids birthdays at Macdonalds in Glattzentrum and we used them last year.
To be completely honest....they've always been great and the kids loved it.

Happy kids = Happy Parents.
Always true.

Keep the ideas coming and let us know how it goes lazylion

Re: kids party:running out of ideas

If all else fails, why not just bundle all the "kinderlis" in warm clothes, take them off to the woods and let them do the party themselves.
Make plenty of bread dough, bringplenty of "Cervelat", make a bonfire, get them to collect some good straight cooking sticks, and make "Twisties"- make a sausage like roll of the dough, wind it round the stick and let the child cook his/her own Twistie.
Similar principal with the Cervelat, carve a few decorations on it, if you have the time and the inclination, or just skin it and bung it on the stick and let each child cook his/her own Cervelat.
Jam and/or butter to go with the Twisties, mustard and/or tomato sauce to go with the Cervelat.

Then get them to sing happy birthday at the top of their voices, when you bring out a candled cake.

Have a good time whatever you do.
