Yes he is for sure! Might be that you rang while he was busy with a client as he is the only person there. Or he might be away for a quick summer trip... Do try to call again

Just another vote for Hirano. He is awesome. Only one problem is he is quite busy all the time. I will recommend for you to book in advance by phone. He could not answer the phone sometime because again he is so busy.

I used to go to "fancy" hair salons. Since last year changed to Hirano and will stick with him

His place is very basic, no nonsense, he does a great job and his prices are much more reasonable.

He colors my gray hair (ok, I don't have a full head of gray hair yet, just the corners and some roots) and I am very satisfied with it.
