Ediker shop in Jestetten

Hi All

For all the Zürich region meat schmugglers out there, a new Ediker has opened in Jestetten. Took me 35 minutes to get there in the car from Zürich on Saturday morning, and the meat counter was already 20 deep in Swiss at 9:00 am. Went over the border on the beautiful wooden bridge at Rheinfelden, and saw neither hide nor hair of a Zollamter in either direction.
Ediker is a much nicer supermarket that Aldi or Lidl in my opinion, and as a bonus, there is a little Saturday morning market in Jestetten in front of the old school, where you can buy meat and veg. direct from the farmers.

Cheers

Jim

Re: Ediker shop in Jestetten

it is EDEKA/NEUKAUF in Jestetten....i do not think that coming from Zürich you drove over a bridge in Rheinfelden...and that in 35 min.

there is a wooden bridge in Rheinau ....and yes no :Zöllner: there but beware they do come there especially on Saturdays when all the swiss go shopping in Jestetten...
also if you want your Mehrwertsteuer back you need a stamp at the boarder so you will not go over a closed boarder with no Zöllner there....

Edeka has been in Jestetten for over a year now. the bridge at Rheinau has a german Zoll there so you can get your tax form stamped

Re: Ediker shop in Jestetten

well, there is a german zoll, but that one is not always open...so you do need to go to zoll hardt oder zoll lottsetten....

the new renovated edeka is there since over a year...edeka / neukauf since 15 years or more....

Absolutely, but since you are used to Swiss prices and everything seems cheap anyway: EDEKA is probably the most expensive supermarket in Germany and the stuff are all "premium brands" (which you probably not know anyway). At easily twice the price, they should be better than a discounter...
