Sci fi, comics, films, Batman, etc etc

Are there any fans of sci-fi, comics, movies, Batman etc on the forums? And more particularly in Basel?

We've just moved to Basel from the UK and my husband who's a huge sci-fi, comic fan is missing his local comic shop and the friends he usually talks about this stuff with for hours on end...

I just wondered if there is anyone nearby who fancies meeting up for a coffee and sci-fi type chat - think Basel Book club but for 'nerds'

Thanks
Hannah

Not sure if I should 'fess up to this but I am a "bit" of a Scifi, comic, batman fan.

I have a selection of comics collected over the years as well as other collectable.

Kevlegs and Swissotter are you in Basel by any chance?

Gata - aren't they all small children really?!

This was his 'office' in the UK - now all in boxes in storage until we decide exactly where to live:

Boxes of comics, boxes of toys and a 5ft inflatable Whiskey bottle with Batmans cowl on top which is just out of shot on the pic.

LOL

This makes me think of the discussion between hubby and I about how many rooms we needed.

I insisted that we need 2 bedrooms, one that we can convert into an office / computer room so that he can have whatever he wants on the walls or wherever...

Right now the computers are set up in what otherwise would be a living / dining combo room and he's "not allowed" to put up game posters unless they're framed (which he's unwilling to do).

Bunnykins, there is a group of us here in Basel who get together for D&D if you and / or your hubby may be interested in that. There is a comic / games shop called Fantastic Empires.

They hold some weekly gaming sessions there and when I visited the shop, I know that we were not the only ones speaking English there... you could probably find some other like-minded folks there on a given Saturday afternoon.

Sooooo tempting to groan at you for this but as I've met you and know you're a fun and funny guy with more of a "party boy" leaning, I'll let it slide... for now.
