I stumbled across this page earlier today, and on further investigation it looks particularly promising. It's a Federally-provided FAQ about Switzerland (familar theme, right?) where one can submit a question, where it would appear that the answer is then provided (in due civil-service course, I assume) by relevant authorities. There's a fair catalogue of questions built up, and it helps to speak German, French or Italian. But, there's an interface in English, and some answered questions.

It looks like EF without any personality, debate, fluff or controversy. I am sure that there are one or two members who would approve.
