Has anyone shopped using amazon.de?
I am unable to shop watches or mobiles to be shipped to Switzerland. Any thoughts?

basically stating that expensive watches and jewelry items cannot be sent outside Germany

Sure, but the watch I liked, a Fossil one is about 179 CHF in Coop while only 76 Euros in Amazon.

Do you know anyone live in Germany? If yes you could sent it to them and collect it later. I used to do that when i order from Amazone.de.

But you'd still pay customs clearance/admin fees and VAT, getting quite a bit closer to the price in CHF anyway...

Rant.... I am sure that Amazon have a lot of happy satisfied customers ... I am NOT one of them! I had a really irritating experience with them and to cut a very long story (6 months of emails and no real human contact) I choose not to buy from them again. Since this time I have found plenty of other online shops and for sure you will find one in Switzerland which will serve you better than paying the customs charges you face from a german online site. .... Rant over

Hmm... But I have had amazing experience with Amazon - the UK and US sites, when I was in UK and US. I had even returned one item and Amazon even paid me back the postage charge for returning as the item had some defect.

But, yes, just for information sake, do let me know if there are any good sites from where I can get a Fossil watch cheap.

I know there are companies who offer the service of receiving your parcel near the swiss border and you can go and get it, but I haven't used any of those myself. Seems to work though.
