MENSA Switzerland

Does anybody know if Mensa meetings in Switzerland are only held in German?

Does anyone from the EF belong to the association?

Thanks!

Alex

Contact them here.
They should be able to give you all the details of their national chapter.

I do have a few contacts on FB from Swiss Mensa and even if they generally use German at their meetings they are all very well read in English and are happy to accomodate English speaking members.
Swiss Mensa isn't the most active but they do exist and meet from time to time.
I will let you know.

RJ Fleming has no particular reputation at present
Re: MENSA Switzerland

Yes, meetings do occur in english, especially on the local level, but each area is different.
I am a member, so I hope this helps.

BTW the word mensa is used in Mexican Spanish to designate a dumb woman.

Re: MENSA Switzerland

I would have thought a member if MENSA would be smart enough to contact MENSA and ask.

Surely a genius would be happy to conduct the finer points of cranium measurement in any language, especially a world language such as German or French, fluency in these would be expected, also ancient Greek and Latin would be expected, unless genii have degenerated since Euler and Newton.

Re: MENSA Switzerland

Am also a member but haven't been to any meetings (yet). Try looking at:

http://www.mensa.org/country/switzerland

Mensa organises dinner and other events in your local area.
