I recently moved to Basel and would really appreciate if someone could let me know a few spots near the city where there are fields to pick your own flowers, strawberries, pumpkins, etc. I know of the one at Eglisee, but am looking for a few other ones too.

For those not familiar, this is a field where you can walk out and pick your own flowers or berries, and pay into a little box for what you took.

for flowers there is one on the way to biel benken from oberwiel and in iel benken at the bottom of the hill to neuwiller there is a PYO

There is a self pick flower place just near the (Wasserturm) Water Tower in Bruderholz. Corner of Reservoirstrasse and Predigerhofstrasse.
Self pick strawberries nearby (now out of season) in fields above (up the hill) Margarethenpark.
Pumpkin Farm with Maize Labyrinth (for kids) and very cheap pumpkins, etc on Schönenbergerweg.
Take no 15 tram to Bruderholz and get off at Airolostrasse. Opposite tram stop is Wasserturmpromenade which will take you to the park where the Wasserturm is.
Check out the above addresses on google maps and combine for a very nice walk.

Thanks everyone, and AJ for the specific directions! Many people have mentioned places to me, like "at the bottom of the hill" but after riding my bike around the entire bottom of a hill (last weekend) and not finding a field, I really enjoy the specific directions (or map links)!

There is a very nice indoor pool in Muttenz, "behind" (continue up the street that leads past the entrance to parking) which I recall seeing a self-cut flower field.

The last time I was there was a month or so ago, I do not know whether they'd have summer-to-fall flowers now as well as the summer flowers they had.

The field in Muttenz can be a bit limited at times, I've found, just the basics - I somehow get the feeling that it's not taken too seriously. The farm just along from the Swimming pool on the main road as you go towards town has a lovely display of pumkins/decorative corn and squash, starting late September/october IIRC. You can also get freshly pressed apple juice (yummy) and year round they have locally grown stuff. the number 60 bus takes you to 'hallenbad' or walk from the 14 tram at Schutzenstrasse.

There's a really good flower field out at Beim Chruz near Allschwill - excellent range and high quality of flowers but you have to drive out there. It's very conveniently opposite the Spitzwald restaurant which has a big outdoors terrace and serves pretty traditional Swiss stuff. the address of the restaurant is Herrenweg 130, 4123 Allschwill.

Can I also find sardinia flowers in pots over the sama area? Does anyone know?
