Re: Is Switzerland most expensive country in the world!

The problem is that the strength of the Swiss Franc has not been passed on to consumers. Switzerland has to import most of what it needs and suddenly these imports are costing less but you don't see the price tags falling... So comparatively to other countries, yes Switzerland is fast becoming the most expensive country in the world. But that could all change if the Swiss Franc falls again.

This is Switzerland for foreigners, if you see a Swiss ordering a plumber or electrician, they get only 1 person and won't accept extra labour if the job doesn't require more hands.

You absolutely have the right to refuse extra labour if you see it's not required, no one can force you on this unless you just don't give a damn about it.

People seem to have the wrong image about Switzerland, you have the right to refuse anything if you see you're being abused....same as anywhere else, people not standing for their rights is their own problem not a Swiss national problem.

The only thing is, once you agreed on it, you pay....so you should decide before agreeing.......it's not rocket science
Have to second this because it's important. I'm sure a lot of expats are being taken advantage of by these companies that way. As Mowvich said, you have all the rights to refuse, negotiate any term in any contract, and it's completely up to you how much and for what you end up paying.
You can even contest a position for a service you didn't ask for, it's all up to your relative skill of negotiation and persistence.
