Re: Dr Martin shoes

We get them online, since that's the only place still selling the steel toes ones, sorry - no help.

Here is an old thread.

Ouch, they're bloody expensive. I'm a great lover of doc Martens, and I suppose given how long they last it's an ok price for Switzerland. However I'm still going to pick mine up from a proper shop (you remember those places don't you) in England at half that price.

Re: Dr Martin shoes

They are a lot cheaper in Prague, too. I actually saw some near Place Neuve in Geneva, if one walks from there towards Rive, on the right side. A word of warning, though, I am not sure if if was just mine completely worn soles, but in the temps under 0 they get ridiculously slippery.

Re: Dr Martin shoes

I know it does not make much sense to buy them here but to each its own...
Personally, I still enjoy my old DeWalt with steel plate and toes purchased by my old company back in SA from RS Components. You never know when you might need them and they are so solid that they will stand the test of time. Here I got ESD shoes for the lab work but I still prefer my massive old boots better. The CATS are in similar category. I would personally buy them all online...

Shooo, here are the sellers in Czech. Now I have had mine for decades, so I hope the price is still better there, hopefully. At least you can chose from a number of different styles, try them on, etc. They are popular back home.

For some other shops, this is decadently good. But you will not want to leave, it's huge...(czech girls are bigger than here, so it will be a better place for nice, cheaper clothes, etc.)

Now, for books, drinks and fun, Globe is convenient, I had gigs there and poetry slams, I think there should be always something going on, cafe and food is good there, fab books, everyone speaks English.
