what documents for Non EU Spouse

HI

I am a EU Citizen and my Spouse is from Brazil. I have a 5 Years B-Permit from the Migrationsamt Zuerich. My Civil Partner moved now to Zuerich and we are going to apply for his permit.

We already Applied for his Permit at the Kreisbuero and we are waiting for the answer.

I would like to know What kind of Documents the Migrationsamt from Zuerich will ask for. As far as I know they will ask my Partner for his criminal record, what kind of documents I will need to provide them with?

thx

Why didn't you ask when you were at the Kreisburo?

Re: what documents for Non EU Spouse

Hi,

A friend of mine ( EU and more than 5 years holding a B permit ) applied recently for a permit for his wife who is Brazilian.

His spouse came to Switzerland and registered with the commune without having the visa d.

After about 10 weeks the canton wrote to him asking for documents such as salery slips.

He now is aware that she should have applied for the family reunification visa from Brazil and his spouse has been here almost 90 days and has asked the canton for advise by email.

Does the spouse need to wait for the reply of the canton or deregister and go back to Brazil?

You might as well wait and see what they say - if the local town hall didn't ask to see a visa they probably aren't bothered.
