Do I need a VISA to go to France for a week?

I've been perusing the site and haven't found the info - maybe it's there - but my eyes are getting tired.

I am here with my partner who is Swiss - I have applied for a B permit. We are not married but have a son (who is Swiss). I am currently here as a "tourist" (if you've read my last post - you will know I am not a pre-planner - to say the least).

We want to go on a short trip to France - can I go? Do I need to have my permit already? Do I need a VISA? Will they let me back in the country? Thanks for any info on the matter....

Re: Do I need a VISA to go to France for a week?

As France and Switzerland are in Schengen the question is irrelevant as there are no border controls. But take your passport in case...
