Okay so every option I have looked at for extending my stay here with my family has turned out to be a bust. i was told there was a possibility of me getting a student visa/permit if I took a german course (and I know that I need to learn more german). Does anyone know of any schools/courses that qualify for me to apply for a student permit? such as how many hours a week I would have to take? where I could take it? etc. any advice is greatly appreciated!

As my friend did last year. She had studied German at Alpha Sprachstudio (in city) for 1 year (2 L permit, each last 6 months). She went to school 5 days/week and 3.5 hours/day. I think it was costed kind of high. After 1 year she must return to her home country with no more permit extention.
