EU-8, living in France, permit in Basel?

I've checked on EF, Google, couldn't find so decided to post here-sorry in advance if in a wrong place but...

...I'm from Poland (EU-8), living in France (Alsace), looking for a job in Basel. Quick question: do I need job-seeker permit/visitor permit when I'm registered in France? I know there is something like G-permit (border crossing) but it doesn’t entitle to any residential rights in Switzerland. I had a few interviews, I know some bigger companies help a lot with this kind of paper work but just wondering if having any permit/G-permit (if needed in my case) helps in looking for a job?

Any ideas appreciated

Re: EU-8, living in France, permit in Basel?

Ok, EFers, maybe another question: does anybody know if after 30 April, 2011 job-seekers from EU-8 will have the same rights and regulations like EU-17 have now?... I found information only until 30 April

Have a good weekend!

However, as far as employment in Switzerland is concerned, Switzerland may continue to impose restrictions on citizens from EU-8 countries (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia) until April 30, 2011.

I don't want to blow your bubble, but that's not so sure.

However, if labor immigration from EU countries should become excessive (more than 10 percent of the average of the previous three years), Switzerland has reserved the option of reintroducing quotas until May 31, 2014 (specific safeguard clause).

This is a completely different point which applies to all EU countries and not just the new joiners.
