Query on L dependent working

Hi All,
My name is Siddhesh Jog. I'll be travelling to Switzerland in mid April with an L permit for 1 year.

I will in probability getting my wife here on a dependent permit soon. I have read quite a few threads and at a number of times come across the statement "convert L dependent to L working permit".

Conversion it seems involves applying for a job in Swiss and getting the same?

Is applying for an L work permit for a dependent (in this case my wife) any different than the normal application process (like the L permit I got)?

Many Thanks
Siddhesh.

Dependent L permits cannot be converted. A sponsoring company must be found and the process is the same as for your permit.

Re: Query on L dependent working

Is it easier for a swiss resident to get a L work permit than it is for a non resident?

Re: Query on L dependent working

They get residence permit B, not L, for the dependent of Swiss citizen.

Thanks joeyying. I am a non EU citizen though, here on L permit. My wife will be here on dependent by Oct/Nov. If she does find an employer will it be easier for her to get an L-permit than say for someone who is residing in a non-EU country.
