| I would like to ask about fiancee visa..In my case,my tourism visa for coming there visit my boyfriends in last year was faield.but now we decided that we want to get married in swiss as fiancee.
But my love still hold on Italian passport,he is wating for getting swiss pass in this year. And when I asked swiss consulate in here about that kind of visa, they said that we need to give them my birth certification, and certificate of celibacy, then fill in visa D application. From my love side,he has to send to me his passport copied, and certification of status personnel, residence permit copied. That's all!..I feel strange about that..but I couldnt ask consulate.they said nothing for asking.just do like what in the paper said.
Please tell me some information about that if you know.and where should my love go to ask for these certifications? | |

Have you checked the swiss embassy´s website in your area? They are always updated and the requirements are very clear there. Certificate of celibacy? Mine was called certificate of non-marriage/singleness. My bf had to provide this as well as Capacity to marry which took around 4 months to get (he is german). The process almost took 1 year for me but thats because i took my daughter and she started from scratch...zero papers. And my application included residence here, thats visa D. Like yours. Its quite expensive, much more than we expected or were led to believe.
I dunno about how it is there in vietnam but in the Philippines, you cant really rely on the government offices, everything took forever and they dont show you clearly how it really is done, even though i kept asking, i still had to go back again and again for something lacking in my papers. I spent alot of money for flights from province to the Central offices in the capital city, where u could slightly get things rolling abit faster than the local offices.
My advice would just be to check their website. Comply with the checklist and add as much documents/certificates as u can, possible even pictures? just in case. You never know what else they would ask you to prove at the interview. The problem with my country is there are so many people falsifying documents and identities just to get to work abraod. They have to double check every single piece of paper. I had to provide a list of all my previous residences starting from when i was 15. I could give them more than 10 addresses and include contact numbers of people there, a sketch of the location or print out of a detailed map. Im really very much relieved that i did it. I got out of that place successfully. If uv been rejected already, there might be higher risk to be rejected again as you dont even know why you got rejected the first time. I think they keep the reasons confidential.
A big factor is also that your fiance(?) should be earning more than enough to support you here in your entire stay. If not, i think that alone would be the reason to reject you again.
