First of I would like to thank this forum and all of the members for thier help and information they give and share.
My situation is ;
we r non EU FAMILY. My husband was working in Zürich for 7years and me for 5years and our two kids have born here.
we were having B permit(do not know exactly its kind)every year except the last year ,we have got L(ALSO do not know exactly its kind BUT it was for nearly 1year)
Now we r going to renew it with a contract with 6 month only.
My husband has gotten a swiss diploma so according to the new law that has announced in Jan 2011(if someone has stayed in switzerland studying and got swiss diploma and worked with it for 3 years ,all of his studying years could be counted to c permit)
so we r going to apply for c permit for the family within days and I would like to ask some question hoping you can help, as usual:

1.what is the requests of the immigration office for non EU early c permit?

2.I knew in Zürich they need german B1 level....(I guess our biggest obstacle)
Is that right?is it the most important certificate which may interrup the application?
Our level in german with less effort could be A2.is it be possible to get B1 level within weeks ?

3.If anyone could give me hints and tips on the B1 level exam?Is there oral exam or not?If yes,is it on difficult subject?

4.does anyone know where I can get the exam?and of course if there are centres easier than others plz tell me.

5.how long is the interval between the handling the c permit form and the reply of the immigration office with the needed document?

6.Does having a lawer supports the application or it is just an usless costs?for years we have suffered from the employee.they r not helpful and tricky.

Are you saying you currently have an L permit based on a 6 month contract?

Yours is quite a complex situation. First thing is to ask at your local town hall if you are even eligable to apply - the issue is that you cannot normally be issued a C permit while on an L.

We are going to renew our permit with a 6 month contract .what we have understand from many sources is that getting c permit depends on counting years and integration.Of course being employed is a strong point but not that importance..DO YOU THINK IT IS?
