Student Visa CV For A Drop-Out?

Greetings,

Should I mention me dropping out of University in the CV for the Student Visa?

Even so, should I explain in the CV why I dropped out or just write heading that I dropped out without mentioning why?

Give an example!

Also, in general, how to write a CV for someone like me that doesn't have a Bachelor Degree yet? Because all CV templates I found around in the Internet are for Job Seekers.

Just mention the school years spent in uni. Attach true copy of grades. If the grades are bad, then dont mention anymore. And if you dont have the official copy then leave the info out.

Would you mention the exams you failed too? Thought not...

Yes, I failed a lot in many subjects (Was in Computer Engineering) so I just mention I studied at the University for the specific period of time with no grades mentioning? Or I don't need to mention anything at all?

I started University in 2005 and dropped many semisters along the way till 2011.

Thing is it wouldn't make sense if I mention to them I didn't do anything for the period of 6 years.

And I bet that would decrease my chance of getting a student visa a lot!

Re: Student Visa CV For A Drop-Out?

I can relate. For me there´s 2 kinds of drop-outs. I got a "honorable dismissal", needed to shift courses or transfer schools. And then there´s the dropping out because of bad circumstances. Your choice if you want to show that record or not. (school years-name of uni-course/major)

Im assuming you have the "true copy of grades" to attach...or whatever you call it. If none, there´s no point mentioning any of that.

The explaining should happen in the interview.

My type of drop-out is bad circumstance (Low grades and not progressing much).

So I shouldn't write it in the CV and mention it only if they ask me?

And I don't have a true copy of my grades when I used to study at the University before dropping-out anymore with me.

Re: Student Visa CV For A Drop-Out?

I suggest you to get it. Its available only upon request, for a fee. Mine took around a month to get. Im sure you did good in some subjects if not most. It would come handy as experience someday. Dont let the whole 6 years go to waste.

Ok, going to try getting it this week and gather all the needed papers, hopefully everything goes fine when I apply for it.

-But I have 2 last questions:

1) What should I write in the CV in the education background section? Like write which High School I graduated at, and even Middle School and Before?

2)What type of Folder should I use for the documents? (plastic transparent folders, or Hanging folder?
