I started work in April, but didn't get the visa beforehand so I entered Switzerland on a tourist Visa. Then my employer (UniGe) worked its channels, and got me a work permit by the end of April, but not visa.

My question is, do I still need to get a non-tourist visa to continue working in Switzerland, or does my work permit already cover that? I would like to take a vacation in June, but don't want to run into any visa/immigration issues when I come back. Reading the other threads it sounds like the visa you get is only temporary anyway.
