Non-EU wife of an EU national: Is it possible to work in Switzerland?

I am a wife of a German national with an Indian passport. My husband is considering to take up a job offer in Liechtenstein and we are considering to make Switzerland as our home. My question is if it will possible for me to get the work-permit in Switzerland.

Hope you will be able to share your experiences.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Divya, I would search the forum as stek says for similar threads, but the easy answer to your question is, maybe.
If your husband is an EU citizen and he has a job in Switzerland, he will have a B permit. As the spouse of a B permit holder, you are eligible for a family reunification B permit which will also allow you to work.

But you have to provide documentation, most importantly, a valid Birth certificate and your marriage certificate.

I think the poster's hubby is going to work in Liechtenstein and not in Switzerland...

The title is inapporopriate(or lacking). Never heard/read of such a case. Why live in switzerland if hubby is working in Liechtenstein? Work and residence are usually tied up in one permit, but i dunno...

Because Liechtenstien is the size of a postage stamp?

Anyway, like Switzerland, Liechtenstein (FL) is part of the EEA/EU free movement thing. And as an EU citizen the OP's German husband and thus she with him can live and work where they want, CH or FL.

The OP will get the same permit as her husband, a B for 5 years and she will be able to work without restriction in either country.

Thanks to all for the replies. Btw, what kind of permit would a German citizen get if he wants to live in Switzerland and work in Liechtenstein? Thanks.

If you husband is German, I imagine he is fluent in the language and so he can have a go at reading up on what he needs to know.
