Will I get into trouble by not immediately registering my address?

So I arrived in Switzerland on the 19th of June and my contract for work started the 20th of June, all good so far! My boss put me up for 2 weeks until I found a place of my own which I have just moved into, and I have to go register soon, problem is can I say I was staying with her, without getting her and myself into trouble??
Need advice!

You should have registered within eight days of arrival, even if you were staying in temporary accommodation.

I'm not quite sure how you're going to get around that fact... as your work contract, which I believe you will have to show, will state that you started work on the 20th June.

I don't think she'll be in trouble - as you're from Ireland you're entitled to be here whilst looking for work, and all she did was out you up.

You, on the other hand... I have no idea. But I wouldn't try and hide your mistake. These things have a way of coming out in the end. My best advice would just be to go and come clean.

You might get some more specific advise if you updated your location...

Go there, register. If they ask about your previous accomodation just tell them. Usually such things are not a problem at all. Wouldn't worry to much.

No problem; just be transparent. They'll sniff out dodgy excuses.

Of course you will have to pay Health Insurance from the 1st of any month you arrived. If you arrive say on 20th of June, you will have to pay from the 1st of June. You have 3 months to set up health insurance cover, but it will have to be paid as above.
