Hi Bibo, the idea is that you should introduce yourself first then maybe ask that question a few posts later. My answer to this would be millions.

My OH just got Swiss citizenship - but he had to be married to me for 40 years
Even then he had to demonstrate that he has regularly visited Switzerland for a long time, understands the history and the culture, speaks one of the national languages fluently- and I had to promise that we have no intention of divorcing. So the poor guy is stuck with me for the rest of his life, bless his cotton socks.
Forgot, he also had to prove he has no debts. The fact we had already bought our house helped too apparently, as well as the fact he had many referees to vouch for him.

I have all so German citizenship | | | | | You can get it if you buy couple of their cows, 1000 sqm of their lands and lots of cow bells
On a serious note, if you have $ +100 million and you are famous celebrity, maybe they might wanna talk to you...otherwise, stand in the que and let the elders pass first followed by the children then the pregnant woman |

sorry if I miss understood him.. | | | | | if you have enough you can arrange it, esp. if you bring jobs here. but it isn't a fixed number and you need to negotiate with the authorities, probably as part of your tax deal.

Just married my old boy and was given a Swiss passport saying I originated in Winterthur; a place I'd never even set foot in.
I'm going back a few years and my English daughter-in-law is somewhat peeved that she has to wait 5 years for her's but that her new daughter was given one immediately.

Hi, of couse it depends on the canton and city you live in. The fastest is Neu Chatel, in Zurich it might take longer. You need to have lived 5 consecutive years in Neuchatel, but 6 in Zurich out of 12 consecutive years in Switzerland. And it may cost you between 2000 to 5000 SFR. The actual administrative process takes from 1-5 years.
Good luck!

Good luck! | | | | | The Cantonal Residency requirements are listed in the Swiss Government website below: http://www.ejpd.admin.ch/content/ejp...tzfristen.html
Nidwalden is the longest, requiring 12 years! The quickest are Bern, Geneva, Jura, Schaffhausen and Zurich, all requiring 2 years residency.
However, a new law is under debate in Bern (possible motion probably in 2012, any updates anyone?) that would require applicants to have a C permit before applying and to have lived in Switzerland for 8 years (Cantonal and Community residency requirements would be adjusted so as not to surpass 3 years)
