I have a valid Swiss business visa and my L work permit is also in process right now. Can I travel to switzerland for a brief business trip and come back without a problem while my L permit is in process?

I'm not a lawyer, but I recall that you can travel for meetings during the visa review process.

I am planning to call the NYC consulate to see if they have an opinion about this. Our corporate lawyer said the following:

" In principle you are not supposed to be travelling while your application is in process – but as long as you have a valid entry visa, you should be able to enter the country with that visa"

The last thing I want to do is jeopardize the L permit process. I doubt that these two situations are related but just to be clear I will call them today (Hopefully I get a live person to talk to).
