One of my friend is working in Switzerland(holds B permit) originally from India and he wants to move to USA under L1 visa. His company is ready to process his L1 visa. Will there be any problems or hassles in getting L1 approved from US government? Does anyone knows about swiss rules or any experience?

Why would Swuss regulations have anything to do with it?

Didn't apply filing L1 visa yet so there is no information to get from US embassy, before that just wanted to know if somebody have moved from Switzerland to US. My doubt is that he is a citizen of India and transferring to US under L1, will this create any obstacles?

I too am from a third country and moved from Switzerland to the US under an H1 visa in 2009. I had no major problems, although the US did reject my firm's L1 visa request because they thought that my "Strategic Account Manager" was an accounting job, and my firm didn't need a foreign accountant (sic). Other than that small bureaucratic hiccup it all went pretty smoothly. But moving FROM Switzerland had no impact whatsoever on the process (other than the US Embassy being far more calm and orderly than in other countries).
