My freind's company has got her ( L to B ) B permit for 4 months (!) .Her contract with the company is also for 4 months .
Now the company says since it is B permit it will be easily extendable next year. Extending the contract is no problem.

Is that correct ? Is it easy to extend / renew the B permit if it was for 4 mnths intially .

No, it's not correct because it's not an annual permit but a short term one bases on the contract.

Normal B permits are 5 years for EU. possibly 1 year for non EU but 4 months, thats not a 'real' B permit.

Where is your friend from? If EU it isn't a problem. If not then it looks to me that the company is trying to be clever. Almost certainly they will fail as the authorities are keen on stopping this sort if thing.

He is non-EU .

Precisely. By asking for 4 months the company circumvented the more strenuous process at the cost if accepting a short non-renewable permit. If I were your friend I'd be preparing to leave the country.
