Deregistration and reregistration

Dear All

I am in bit of confusion. I am non EU working here since last 5 years on work permit B.

I had resigned 3 months back and deregistered from Gemenide 2 weeks back saying that I will leave Switzerland on 30th Sep. today I have been offered a better package and better job with same company out here. (the typical atitude from the boss once they realise that things are getting stuck up).

Does it mean now I have to leave Switzerland and employer need to apply for my resident permit again. Anybody who can share his experience or think what could be the right step.

If you have deregistered from the Gemeinde I assume this means you have actually left Switzerland. If this is the case then you are back to square one needing to reapply. If you have not left Switzerland why did you deregister and what are you doing now?

I have basically informed Gemeinde and they have stamped my residence permit that I am leaving on Sep30. They also gave deregistration notification required for apply pension etc.

Then I would suggest wandering off to the local Gemeinde that stamped your residence permit saying that the company had made a mistake and actually wants to keep you. The stamp from the Gemeinde is only a control function and not a decision so you can have it revoked.

How strict are they on the date of departure? I need to deregister so that I can submit this document to my cable company, health insurance, and pension provider and have a flight out on Sept. 29, but am having visa troubles and so will not know if I will even make that flight or have to stay in Switzerland a bit longer for my visa to process. Would this be a problem? They arent' going to hunt you down or anything are they..you never know with the Swiss government...
