L-permit renewal

Hello all...

Quick question regarding renewing my L Permit (which is a "service provider" type permit, but I don't suppose that makes much difference).

How does renewal work? Do I just go to the Office de Population (where they only speak French, hence why I'm asking in here first as my French is not good)? What documents do I require?

Thanks

Neil

Hello,

You need to go to the Contrôle des habitants and they will guide you. Btw, some of them speak English there. There is a form that you need to fill in and then approved by your employer to be sent to the commune / kanton.

Here's the link

Google can translate it for you

Assuming you are a Brit from your location then yes, that's all there is to it. They may ask you to show you are still employed (contract will do).

I'm based in Chardonne where they don't (there's basically one woman does it, and she speaks no English at all). Or is it the cantonal office in Lausanne where I need to go?

You go to the same place where you registered on arrival.

That would be the office in Chardonne, then. Thanks.
