Keep in mind if you are dealing stamps, and presumably sending/receiving them by post in CH, your operating costs are going to skyrocket. Postal costs and express carrier fees match the swiss living standards, not to mention the Swiss Customs operates with extreme efficiencies, so you will face a lot of red tape and associated costs.
That is interetsting...

Side note: I can simply post the envelopes out without having to declare anything officially at the post office? (as export)

Anyway, I'm probably going to give the appropriate authorities a call next week...

There may well be a problem on the import side, you need to declare the value of the goods. It's a sale of goods, not just a letter.

Of course you're not. But let me explain. You're an EU citizen, your girlfriend is an EU citizen with a job lined up in Switzerland. You speak one of Switzerland's official languages. You earn really good money. You can go online to admin.ch or wherever or take a train up to Switzerland and just ask. You seem to be looking for a virtual cuddle "you'll be alright". There are people in Switzerland, even on the forum with real problems - you aren't one of them.

I understand your point of view... but i can assure you a 'virtual cuddle' is not what I was after. I can understand how it seemed that way though. Nevertheless, thank you for your oppinions

At no point did the OP say or infer he earned 30k a year. He said he believed that evidence of self employed income of 30k per year or more was necessary to get a permit. The OP will be allowed to stay here in any case if he is an EU citizen, not dependent on the State, and dependent on his girlfriend who will work.
Thanks for that. I guess a bunch of read it wrong. I didn't go back & re-read but I'll take your word for it!

I do find it quite shocking if they 30K is accepted as minimum for a permit. It's quite difficult to live in CH on that little money. But I don't makes them ruleses.

No, I don't believe that's true either.

Probably because it is not true. The facts in the case of the OP are, to us who went through acres of paperwork to be in Switzerland back in the day, almost too simple to believe:

The requirement for EU citizens to prove economic sufficiency from self employment is no longer enforced.
So it's not 30K. It's nothing.

However, if the self employed person is married and bringing his family then he has to prove he can support them. Swings. Roundabouts.
