I need to send my Swiss ID into U.S.A. after international notorized. What do I need to do? do I need to go to U.S. Emabassy for this? |
Re: Notorized copy of ID Depending on who you're sending it to, you might be able to have your local community (i.e. Basel Stadt) notarize it at about 2chf a signature. Your community notary should meet Hague Convention requirements. This was fine for me when I had to get some stuff notarized for the IRS. However, you might have a requirement for a 'US Notary', in which case you'll have to go to the Embassy or a consulate. |
Re: Notorized copy of ID IRS is the one that I have to send to, too. Do you know nearest consulate from Basel Stadt. |
Re: Notorized copy of ID Quote:
The closest consulate is Zurich, although the embassy in Bern is only slightly further away. You'll want to make an appointment ahead of time with either. |
Re: Notorized copy of ID http://bern.usembassy.gov/hours_of_operation3.html Including this would be complete. up to date consular info : Geneva, Zurich |
Re: Notorized copy of ID The notaries (Notariat) in Kanton Zurich will notarize copies in English at regular cost. Probably the same where you are. No consulate needed. |
Re: Notorized copy of ID But, to send U.S.A. it would be faster to get done due to oh-beautyf "Patriot Act." Through consulate would be faster to progress, it may seem. How much it will cost, which doesn't show at the website. ____________________________________________ Now, it is complete. http://bern.usembassy.gov/notarial_services.html The above site will give you all info. regarding notorized ID by U.S.A. gov. ^^ |
