Will I lose my self employment status?

I am Ruby and I moved to Switzerland 7 years ago to be with my Swiss husband. I am a make up artist and have been self employed for last 4 years. My yearly income has ranged from CHF30,000 to CHF5,000 per year. This year due to personal problems I managed to make only CHF900.

Would my self employed status get taken away as a result of hardly making anything in 2011? I am quiet sure that 2012 will be good year for me due to some good work connections that I have finally made. I am stressed out that lack of earning in 2011 might jeopardise my self employment status for 2012.

I asked SVA anonymously what the minimum yearly income needs to be to continue to stay self employed and the gentleman did not give a clear answer. His answer was along the line of it depends on various things. I am EU national with C permits and I feel helpless and could do with some input from knowledgeable people here.

The year is not over yet don't give up. If they take away your status companies will have to employ you on a daily basis, thats really not an issue it's done all the time, it's probably a better deal for you in any case.
